Shortly after launching a new logo and brand for a technology recruiting company, Megan came up with a creative way to utilize promotional items still in-stock with their old logo.
She incorporated their growing social media followers and the popular “#ThrowbackThursday” or “#TBT” social media tag. She encouraged followers to interact with the company on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn during the period of the promotion. During this time Megan also posted several related articles and images depicting technology throwbacks.
For interacting with the company’s brand online, people were chosen at random to receive a gift package of the old logo items (such as a set of leather coasters, travel tumbler, notebook, totebag, and more).
As a result, the company increased its social media interaction during the period of the promotion, and Megan was able to utilize materials in a fun, interactive way that would have otherwise been wasted.
